Lobo does not require an account, sign-up, phone number, or email address to use the app.
Your Google Timeline data is processed locally on your device. This includes GPS coordinates, timestamps, activity types, and place visit records. Raw GPS coordinates and location history are never transmitted to our servers.
To classify a visited location (for example, recognizing it as a hotel, medical office, or restaurant), Lobo sends that location's coordinates to Google's Places API through our own server-side proxy. This lookup happens in real time to fetch the place's name and category; the coordinates are not logged, stored, or retained anywhere on our side — only the resulting category label is saved, on your device.
Lobo has built, but not activated, an optional advertising feature. If it's ever turned on, with your explicit opt-in, it would share only anonymized behavioral segment data such as:
This feature is currently switched off. No behavioral or location data is sent to advertisers today, and there is no opt-in screen currently presented to users. If we ever activate it, this policy will be updated first and you'll be asked to explicitly opt in.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or location history to any third party.

Because Lobo doesn't require an account and doesn't store your data on our servers, there is no separate server-side deletion request process — deleting your data on-device removes it completely.

Your Timeline data and place classifications remain on your device until you delete them (via Settings → Clear All Data) or uninstall the app. We do not retain a server-side copy of your Timeline data, GPS history, or place visit records.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) for any data that is transmitted. No system is completely secure.
Lobo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact privacy@getlobo.app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Your continued use of Lobo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
